Postal Markings for Fremantle 1870-1890 from Crown above Registered & barred duplex incl numeral "8" used at High St to 1879 & the new P.O. in South Terrace with location sketches for the Commissariat Offices P.O. opened 1882 & nearby Cliff St P.O. which replaced it in 1889 to 1907. Beautifully written up with info from Battye Library & photos plus examples of WA Swans & QV 1d Telegraph which was authorised for postal use in 1886 to overcome a shortage of 1d stamps.
