SALE 35 CONDITIONS OF SALE
BIDS The highest bidder shall be the purchaser. Where floor bids do not exceed the highest postal bid, that postal bidder will pay the reserve when no other floor or postal bids have been received or one bidding step over the second highest postal or highest floor bidder.
BIDDING FFor those not attending the auction, bids can be placed by mail, telephone or email. We no longer accept bids by fax due to previous problems confirming safe receipt of them. Email bids are encouraged and will be acknowledged by return email. Bids should be received in our offices by email, post or telephone no later than 8.00pm, WA time, on Friday 11th October for Parts 1 and 2 and 8.00pm on Saturday 12th October for Parts 3 & 4. Bids received that are not at a bidding increment figure as shown below will be rounded down to the nearest increment. Thank you.
BIDDING INCREMENTS Bidding shall progress in the following increments;
From $25 to $100 bidding will rise in increments of $5
From $100 to $300 bidding will rise in increments of $10
From $300 to $500 bidding will rise in increments of $20
From $500 to $1,000 bidding will rise in increments of $50
From $1,000 to $3,000 bidding will rise in increments of $100
From $3,000 to $5,000 bidding will rise in increments of $200
From $5,000 to $10,000 bidding will rise in increments of $250
From $10,000 upwards at auctioneers discretion
BINDING CONTRACT By placing bids in the auction, the bidder is entering into a binding contract to purchase all the lots he/she is awarded with the additional Buyers Premium.
BUYER'S COMMISSION A Buyers Commission of 15% (plus GST) will be added to the hammer price of all lots.
DELIVERY shall be made to bidders upon receipt of payment. Postage & packing is at the purchaser's expense. Lots will be mailed within Australia by ordinary mail if the total is under $100. Lots over $100 and up to $500 inclusive of BP will be posted by Registered Post. Invoices greater than $500 will be sent by Express Post requiring signature unless we are instructed otherwise. Additional insurance, over and above Australia Post's maximum payout for the respective service, can be requested by the successful bidder if required. International sendings less than $2000 will be despatched by International Registered while those over $2,000 will be sent by courier again for speed & security. For International clients, please be aware that we will make an accurate customs declaration when we mail goods. The penalties for making a false export declaration can be up to $5,000.
DISPUTES If any dispute arises as to the highest bidder the auctioneer shall have absolute discretion to determine the dispute and may put up again and resell the lot in respect of which the dispute arises.
ESTIMATES The estimates are the reserves and thus bidding will begin at the estimated prices. Please Note: Bids under the estimate will not be accepted. Opening Prices will be shown on the website at least 72 hours before the auction.
EXCHANGE RATES At time of printing (subject to fluctuation) the Australian Dollar equals; UK £0.52p, US $0.67, Euro €0.61, Japan ¥98, NZ$1.10, Singapore $0.88
GOODS & SERVICES TAX (GST) Most lots in this auction are sold on behalf of private vendors and as such are exempt from GST. All lots are sold GST inclusive where applicable. (A GST Tax invoice will be supplied on request.)
PAYMENT must be made immediately upon your last bid in the room on the day. Payment by cash is encouraged for speed however personal cheques will be accepted with identification. In addition we also accept the credit cards, Visa and Mastercard and all Debit cards. A 1.5% service charge will be added to all invoices when a credit card is used.
POSTAL BIDDERS are encouraged to include credit card details on the bid form so that lots can be despatched immediately. The 1.5% service charge will be added to the total amount. Alternatively full payment should be sent within 7 days of the receipt of invoice. If any purchaser fails to pay in full for any lot within the time stated, compound interest may be charged on the outstanding amount at the rate of 2.5% per month plus a $20 accounting fee. Payment can also be made by Bankers cheque in Australian dollars (or personal cheque if known by Ian Boulton) or Direct bank transfer.

REFUSAL OF ADMISSION Ace Stamp Auctions reserves the right at our complete discretion to refuse admission to the auction premises or participation in any auction and to reject any bid/s.
UNSOLD LOTS Offers on unsold lots after the auction will be communicated to the vendor if received by telephone, email or in writing up to 21 days after the sale. Please provide the unsold lot number and the highest price you are willing to pay. (Please note the 15% + GST Buyers Premium will be added to this figure.) VIEWING Selected coin & stamp single lots will be available for viewing at the 2024 Canberra Stamp & Coin Show from Thursday 12th September to Sunday 15th September at the Thoroughbred Park, 1 Randwick Rd, Lyneham, ACT. All lots can then be viewed on Saturday 12th October from 9.00am stopping at 11.00 am for just Coins & Banknotes (1-342). Lots 343 onwards can continue to be viewed until 1.00pm for box lots, World & Australian Collections and Accessories etc. The West Australian lots can be viewed Sunday 13th October from 8.00am to 10.00am (lots 917 to 1305) and lot 1306 onwards until 1.00pm when the last part of the sale commences. All viewing will be at the Cannington Exhibition Centre, Corner of Albany Hwy& Station St, Cannington. 2000+ scanned lots are also on the website at www.acestampauctions.com
