1938 (26th Mar) "First Day Mascot Aerodrome Postmark after Relief Stamp" typed endorsement on E Crome prepared & addressed env with 1d QM tied by crisp upright cds with additional neighbouring cds. The latter because the original pmk had the year slug set at "34" which has been changed in m/s to "38". This must have annoyed Mr Crome after all his efforts!! Signed by A O'Hare the postmaster - possible compensation!!
