1849 (27th July) 1/- green embossed with four close to just touching margins neatly tied on cover addressed to Philadelphia. "5 CENTS" in red also tying the embossed with neighbouring "PAID" in blue for local delivery. Liverpool transit cds dated JY 27 1849. A lovely example. SG55, cat. £1900
