1946/47 1½d green surcharged 2½d red defaced KGVI oval embossed, type I, window env neatly slogan cancelled with Sydney 12 MCH 1947 "Prevent Bushfires". Printed top left with "B. Addison Pty Ltd Oil & General Merchants 80 Bridge Rd., The Glebe, Sydney" as mentioned in the ACSC. Only 5 known of this type with this being the earliest used example. Some wear to top right edge incl 2 small 2-3mm tears but not detracting from a scarce cover. ACSC ES80 Cat. $5000
