German New Guinea 1905 (24th Oct) Russian 3k rose postcard uprated with 1k orange addressed to Sattelberg near Finschhafen (for missionary). Letter on reverse written in St Petersburg. Small tear at right but most unusual combination of origin & destination. (Sattelberg = Saddle Mountain, is a village at an elevation of 900 metres on the Huon Peninsula. A Lutheran Mission was founded there in 1892)
