1934 (8th Dec) incoming England-Australia illustrated airmail cover to Mr Dolby C/- Qantas Airways, Brisbane & bearing 3d & 1/- KGV tied by CROYDON AERODROME 8 DE 34 CROYDON SY cds & a clearer strike of same to right of address. Front shows "Despatch from G-AAXE "HENGIST" LONDON-BRISBANE" typewritten 23.5mm cds is used here, for Royal Household & official mail, as opposed to regular mail for which a 25mm cds is used. Flown by "HENGIST" to Paris for transfer to QAT flight. Dolby cover "special cancel" letter, one of only 8 known. Not listed by Eustis & similar sold at recent US sale for
